Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a hands-on technique used by physical therapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare providers to treat musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It involves the use of skilled hand movements to mobilize joints, stretch soft tissues, and improve circulation. Techniques within manual therapy include joint mobilizations, manipulations, soft tissue massage, and stretching. The goal is to reduce pain, enhance movement, restore function, and promote healing by addressing issues such as joint stiffness, muscle tension, and restricted range of motion.

What is spinal manipulation/mobilization?
Spinal manipulation and spinal mobilization are manual therapy techniques used by physical therapists, chiropractors, and osteopathic physicians to treat musculoskeletal issues, particularly those related to the spine. Spinal manipulation involves applying a controlled, quick thrust to a spinal joint to improve alignment and enhance joint function. On the other hand, spinal mobilization involves applying gentle, oscillating movements to the affected joint. Both techniques aim to reduce pain, improve range of motion, and restore proper spinal alignment. They are commonly used for conditions like back pain, neck pain, and certain types of headaches.
